What we look for in a human made record
Certification rests on the trail a person leaves while making something, so the evidence matters more than the polish.
Acceptable
- Voice memos, phone recordings, and rough demos made while you were writing
- Photographs of the room you wrote in, the studio, or your notes
- Video of a take, a rehearsal, or a mixing session
- Session files, stems, and project timestamps from your recording software
- Lyric drafts, chord charts, and notebook pages
- Messages with collaborators about arrangement and production choices
Not acceptable
- Audio generated by a model, in whole or in part
- Lyrics written by a model and presented as your own
- Vocals cloned from another performer
- Stock images presented as photographs of your sessions
- Evidence assembled after the fact to fill a gap
- Files that belong to a session you were not part of
